1. Be courteous and respectful to each other. Express appreciation for your opponent's skill and for a shot well-made.
2. Avoid wearing shirts that are the same color as the balls. Please wear non-marking shoes in the gym. Do your best to avoid tracking mud and dirt into the gym. Ideally, you can change into a different pair of shoes when you play.
3. On days when there are not enough tables for all players, we use a "challenge system."
Place your racquet at the side of an occupied table to challenge the winner of that table.
The players at the table must begin play within two minutes after a challenge is placed, if they have not started already.
A match is best three out of five games to eleven points. Service alternates every two points.
4. Volatile compounds (VCs) such as speed glue and rubber cement are banned by the USATT and ITTF. VCs can cause serious health problems and are not permitted at the Fort Collins Table Tennis Club.
